Best time of my life!

The food, wine, and views were amazing. I went for the running but I would have stayed for the wine. Perfection!

The running was great. Awesome trails. Run Alpe-Adria has the best team and made the whole experience better than I hoped for. Happy to come away with new friends and lasting memories. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Allison, Borut, Tone, and Damijan!

Run Alpe-Adria (the Slo Edition) treats runners to both the hidden gems and better-known indulgences of one very small but astoundingly beautiful country - Slovenia!

Run breathtaking trails through tranquil forests and rolling vineyards, across idyllic meadows, around alpine lakes and along the electric-blue Soca River.

Explore caves and castles, visit ancient wine cellars and take in the unexpected grandeur of the Julian Alps. Pause mid-run to pull a ripe fig off a tree, or to sip an espresso, or to jump into an alpine lake, just because you can. Wonder why on earth there aren't more tourists around and then continue along feeling very, very thankful that there aren't.

Nights are spent in beautifully restored farmhouses, quaint B&Bs and mountain chalets, and meals are indulgent multi-course affairs, featuring the specialties of each region prepared by locals who are thrilled by the chance to share them with you. And of course, there will be wine. Lots of wine.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This trip begins in Venice, Italy with an immediate transfer to Slovenia. We recommend arriving a day or two early as a buffer in case of flight delays, and for the chance to explore Venice on your own!

  • US and Canadian citizens will need a passport with at least 3 months of validity left to enter the EU. Participants from other countries should check with their consulate for entry requirements.

  • Please ensure that you arrive in Venice no later than 12 noon on Day 1 and depart Venice no earlier than 12 noon on Day 7. If you arrive early (highly recommended!) then we will pick you up at a pre-arranged time/place on the first day. If you extend your stay in Venice then we'll be happy to take you to your hotel on the final day. If you arrive/depart outside of these parameters then you will be responsible for your own airport transfers.

  • Please note that travel insurance is strongly recommended. Although we hope you never need it, we've seen enough to know that it can be a lifesaver in the event of a medical emergency, flight delays, lost baggage or cancellation on your part (Break your leg two weeks before departure? Insurance can cover the entire cost of your entire trip! Flight delays cause you to miss the first day? Insurance can cover the cost of transport to meet up with us!).
