What sort of run routes will I get?

For each destination we’ve chosen at least 8-10 of our personal favorite trail running routes that showcase the area while providing a variety of terrain, views and difficulty levels to choose from. Distance options range from 5-14 miles and we provide suggestions for modifying distances where possible.

When you access the routes in your app you’ll see a written description along with the stats (total distance, elevation gain, etc) plus a few photos so that you can preview what you’re getting into!

Can’t I just find routes on the internet?
Sure you could! The internet is packed with trail information and run reports and hiking blogs and mountain biking videos - so packed that it takes a big chunk of time and dedication to sift through it all and identify the best of the best, especially when you’re traveling to an area with hundreds of trail options.

Some people enjoy the research and the logistics, and if you’re one of them then this may not be for you. But if you’re someone who already has enough to do and wants to spend less time online and more time on the trails, Rogue OYO is for you. We’ve filtered out the noise and curated routes that we’ve personally researched and run and fallen in love with, cleanly packaging all of the information that you’ll need (and nothing you don’t).

When should I take my trip?

That’s totally up to you, but on each destination page we’ve indicated the best months to visit based upon the routes we’ve selected. Bend, Tahoe, Buena Vista & Taos/Angel Fire are best visited between June-October - any earlier/later and most of the routes we’ve selected will still be under snow. Moab has year-round options - it’s best between March-June and September-November. We don’t suggest going there to run in the dead of summer, but it’s possible if you’re willing to hit the trail before sunrise each morning!

Please note that your access code(s) will remain valid for 1 year from the time of purchase.

How does the app work?

Once you purchase a Rogue OYO trip, we will email a personalized link to you within 24 hours that will give you access to your trip via the Ride With GPS app (yes, you’ll need to download it and don’t worry, our routes are for running, not cycling!). Once in, you’ll see several sections:

Pre-Trip Info

Includes tips for getting to/from the destination, suggestions/considerations for where to stay and our tried-and-true packing list - just throw it in your bag and go!

On Trip Pro Tips

Includes trailhead info (directions, fees & permits, how to pay for them, whether to expect a cell signal), our top picks for breakfast, lunch, dinner & drinks, a list of the must-see and must-do between runs, weather info and guidance on trail etiquette and safety in that particular area.

Routes!

This is where you’ll find the full set of routes and navigation features. You can preview each one right there in the app, and even on your laptop if you wish. These routes will all be downloaded to your phone and accessible even when you don’t have a cell signal, and you’ll be able to see exactly where you are when you’re out on the trail, ensure that you don’t miss any great viewpoints and will be able to get back on track if you accidentally miss a turn. You can also enable voice-guided navigation to keep things fool-proof! We’ll also send you a set of printable pdfs in case you’d like to have hard copies.

You’ll receive one unique access link per device based on what you register for, and codes will remain valid for 1 year from the time of purchase. Detailed instructions will be provided upon purchase, and you can click the thumbnails below to get an idea of what you’ll receive:

I don’t have a smartphone. Can I still use Rogue OYO?

Unfortunately, you’ll need a smartphone to take full advantage of all of the features. It’s probably not worth your money without one!

Will you book accommodation for me?

You can get that with our guided trips, but not with OYO! We will, however, provide our suggestions in the guide along with a short description and links to make booking your stay - on your own - super quick.

I paid for Rogue OYO but now I’ve decided not to travel. Can I get my money back?

Unfortunately, Rogue OYO purchases are final and cannot be refunded. It’s up to you whether you actually travel or not - we are simply providing the planning tools. Your access code will be good for one year from the date of purchase, so you’ll have plenty of time to use it!

Okay I’m ready! How do I get in on this?

Awesome! Simply navigate to one of our destinations (Bend, Moab, Buena Vista, Tahoe or Angel Fire/ Taos) and you’ll find the registration button that you need.

Once purchased, you’ll hear from us via email within 24 hours with your access code and instructions for using the app. From there, the countdown is on!
