Runners Ocean South Africa Run Tour 13

Run South Africa is a diverse and unique experience where you traverse from the western to eastern cape and learn about the history and culture from the most amazing local guides – Nic & Carma Shaw and our run guide Jamie. If you’re into visiting a warm climate penguin colony, seeing baboons on the side of the road, zip lining through the canopy of the Tsitsikamma forest, staying on an ostrich farm (with the best homemade jams), and visiting Addo elephant sanctuary for a safari tour, then this is the trip for you. Adventure awaits!!! And if your inner daredevil is itching to be let out, a bungee jump off of Bloukrans Bridge could be in store for you (it’s awesome)- I highly recommend!

South Africa was amazing! The diversity and beauty of the country was a surprise. The Rogue Team was outstanding. While elements of the running journey were challenging, the Rogue Team supported us the entire way. We were pampered the entire trip and our guides treated us like family. Shout out to Kara, Nic, Carma and Jamie! It was a wonderful week, making new friends and experiencing a rich culture. It was the trip of a lifetime!

Group South Africa Run Tour 1

If you’ve ever wanted to visit South Africa and you’re a runner, book this trip immediately. This is one of those incredibly special, one-in-lifetime experiences that you will always treasure. I didn’t know anything about Rogue Expeditions before booking this trip, but I’m so glad I went for it. They are an incredible team of people who arrange the most inspiring, organized, and stunning experiences. Our guides were so kind and fun to be around, and our group was full of high energy adventure runners of varying paces and levels. The runs are perfectly curated so that everyone can pick a distance in their comfort zone and no one is ever left feeling behind. This trip has a little bit of everything— the opportunity to traverse the grandiose mountain ranges (including climbing the iconic Table Mountain), glide through the lush indigenous rainforest, wade through the crystal clear rivers of wine country, skip along the magnificent red rock seaside cliffs, dip your toes in the Indian Ocean, listen to South African popular music while driving in the van, and watch in awe as elephants parade by on safari. If you visited South Africa on your own, it’s unlikely that you would get to run on some of the trails we experienced. I’m grateful that Rogue made it possible to see so much of the beautiful Western Cape — South Africa completely stole my heart.

Group Runners South Africa Run Tour 24

This trip is absolutely fabulous! Rogue Expeditions always puts on amazing experiences, but their South African partners made this one very special. Attention to detail was immaculate, program was spectacular, and everyone on the team was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. We had so much fun learning about history, nature, culture, food and so many other things in South Africa. Truly a gem of a trip. Oh and we got a bunch of amazing runs in as well!

Runners Cape Town South Africa Run Tour 44

Great running and so much more. It was a wonderful group of enthusiastic people that managed to squeeze in some glorious trail runs in between great meals (including Nic’s secret recipe potjie), beautiful farm/rural/seaside/urban lodging, national park visit (elephants!! penguins!!), and unbelievably informative (and entertaining- looking at you Hendré) guides. So good that I signed up for another trip next year even before I made all the way home from this one!
