Prepare for a race that dances along the edge of the Apennines – the Verdi Marathon in Salsomaggiore Terme. Here, beneath azure skies, ancient thermal baths meet towering green hills, setting the stage for a race as dramatic as the operas composed by the town’s famous son, Giuseppe Verdi.

The course unfolds on the well-maintained roads of this charming spa town, tracing a path through its narrow, cobbled streets and out into the undulating hills beyond. From the starting line in the heart of Salsomaggiore Terme, runners chase the horizon through lush vineyards, past gleaming thermal springs, and beneath the shadow of imposing, centuries-old villines.

Interwoven with the rich tapestry of Italian culture, the Verdi Marathon celebrates the life and works of Giuseppe Verdi, born nearby in the village of Le Roncole.

Race options include 10k, 21k, 30k, and 42k distances.
