Starting in Fort Langley, where the Hudson’s Bay Company’s legacy still echoes through wooden stockades, the Fort-to-Fort Trail meanders alongside the mighty Fraser River.
This is where British Columbia’s gold rush fever once raged, but today the path offers a different kind of treasure: mist-shrouded farm fields, dense corridors of sword ferns, and river views where sturgeon still roll in the depths.
In February, when the valley holds its breath between winter and spring, native wildflowers begin to peek through last year’s growth and bald eagles gather in remarkable numbers.
